# Staking

Staking serves as a rewarding mechanism for our esteemed community members who demonstrate a long-term vision and commit to locking up their GVT tokens. By staking your GVT, you have the opportunity to earn enticing rewards through our staking dashboard. Furthermore, in the future, staking GVT will grant you voting rights and a voice in determining the utilization of the Community Treasury.

We actively incentivize stakers to contribute value to the thriving Gravity Hub ecosystem. As we progress, we may enhance our staking system to offer more substantial rewards to those who have significantly enriched the Gravity ecosystem before making a claim. This facet of governance requires further research and experimentation.

For stakers who may not be players or wish to participate directly in governance, we are exploring the possibility of enabling them to delegate their requisite "work" to other trusted parties. This allows for a more inclusive and flexible staking experience within the Gravity Hub community.
